Plastics & Packaging — MHM Engineering

RFL, Meghna, Horizon, Gazi, All Plast, Lifemed and Total Group run MHM chillers and towers on moulding and extrusion lines where cycle time is money. Mould cooling wants 8–12 °C water with stable flow to every machine; extruders and hydraulics need tower water; PET blowing needs dry compressed air at 40 bar.

We supply central chilled-water plants with machine manifolds, cooling towers for hydraulic and barrel cooling, screw compressors and dryers, and the LT/MCC panels and VFDs that keep 100 machines on a stable bus.

What the sector needs

The engineering problems in plastics & packaging

Mould cooling at constant temperature

Central chillers with buffer tanks and balanced manifolds hold 8–12 °C at every press; cycle time drops 5–10%.

Tower water for hydraulics and barrels

FRP towers with filtration and inhibitor dosing; PHEs isolate machine circuits from dirty tower water.

Dry compressed air

Screw compressors, refrigerated dryers and receivers sized for blowing and pneumatic demand.

Power quality for drives and heaters

MCC panels, VFDs, capacitor banks and generators for a plant full of electronics.

What MHM delivers

How we solve them

  1. 1

    Central chilled-water plant

Air- or water-cooled chillers, buffer tank, manifolds and insulated piping to each machine.

  2. 2

    Cooling towers & PHEs

Open towers with closed machine loops through plate heat exchangers.

  3. 3

    Compressed air

Rotary screw compressors, dryers, filters and receivers.

  4. 4

    Electrical

LT distribution, MCC/VFD panels and generator sets.

Questions

Common questions from plastics & packaging plants

Above ten machines a central plant with a buffer tank is cheaper to run and maintain and gives every press the same water. Individual units make sense for isolated presses or special temperatures.

Usually — after a water test and a check of its real capacity; we add a PHE so machine circuits stay clean.
