Gasketed plate heat exchangers give close temperature approach in a compact frame and can be opened for cleaning or extended with extra plates. MHM MPH units use AISI 316L plates with clip-on NBR or EPDM gaskets and carbon-steel frames with epoxy coating.
Typical duties are chilled-water free cooling from cooling towers in winter, dye-liquor heat recovery in textile plants and generator jacket-water cooling. Brazed and shell-and-tube types are also supplied.
